IS3NA Travel Awards for XXV IRT

Eligibility and Application

Application deadline is April 5, 2024.

To encourage young researchers to attend and present their works at XXV IRT, IS3NA provides a limited number of Travel Awards, reserved to PhD students and post-docs with restricted budget submitting an abstract for a poster/oral contribution.

ELIGIBILITY

To apply to the IS3NA Travel Awards for XXV IRT, PhD students and post docs (having discussed their PhD thesis maximum 5 years before May, 2024) have to:

  1. Be IS3NA members

  2. Send an abstract to the XXV IRT through the standard registration process at https://www.irt2024.jp/ .

NOTE:  The XXV IRT registration and abstract submission sites are still under development.  The IRT website will be updated as soon as these sites go live.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Click on the below button to submit your application.  Submission deadline is April 5, 2024.  You must upload the following documents as a single .pdf file in the order listed below
 

  1. Short CV (max 1 page)

  2. Supporting letter of the mentor confirming the role of the applicant as PhD student or post-doc and specifying the mentor's inability to cover the travel and staying expenses of the applicant through institutional or personal grants (max 1 page)

  3. Letter of the applicant with indication of the expected costs for travel and staying expenses to attend the XXV IRT in Tokyo (max 1 page)

  4. Submitted abstract

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The IS3NA Poster and Travel Awards committee will evaluate all the regular applications before the Early Bird registration deadline. The winners of the Travel Awards will be contacted by e-mail and will have to confirm the award acceptance.
 

As a general rule, only one application from the same lab will be accepted; should one tutor send more than one recommendation letter, he/she will have to clearly indicate his/her priority order. The winners of the IS3NA Travel Awards for the XXV IRT cannot apply for the IS3NA Poster Awards for the same conference.
