Dr. Randolph John

IS3NA, IS3NA Member

John received his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University in 1997 in the Lab. of Dr. Alan Waggoner. He made his first phosphoramidite back in 1994 and his first oligonucleotides shortly thereafter on a venerable Pharmacia Gene Assembler, labeling his oligos with Cy3 and Cy3 analogues that he synthesized himself. After a short stint as a Post-Doc, John joined Glen Research in 1997 where he has continued working in the field of DNA and RNA synthesis, concentrating on fluorescent nucleoside analogs, universal supports, codon mutagenesis and methods for the analysis and purification of oligonucleotides.
