Prof. Maxim Berezovski focuses on Bioanalytical Chemistry and noncovalent interactions, biopharmaceuticals and biosensors based on DNA aptamers, and RNA biomarkers. Berezovski’s Bioanalytical and Molecular Interaction (BioAMI) laboratory is specializing in (1) bioanalytical chemistry — the analysis of biomolecules and their noncovalent interactions with Kinetic Capillary Electrophoresis and Mass Spectrometry; (2) biopharmaceuticals & biosensors — the selection and application of DNA/RNA aptamers in therapeutic and diagnostic purposes; (3) the discovery of new protein- and RNA-based biomarkers for cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
